Recruitment, Retention, And Representation: People of Color, Ethnic Minorities And Women
Our goal is to increase the recruitment, retention, and representation of people of color, ethnic minorities and women in the Financial Services Industry:
- Because the percentage of Black and Hispanic financial advisers and planners is in the low single digits in the United States.
- Because of the traditional cultural and historical challenges faced by a minority population, compounded by the inherent difficulties of breaking into a demanding profession that focuses on the affluent.
- Because African-Americans access to individuals with capital is somewhat limited and the fact that they don’t have huge networks of people with money that we can reach out to.
- Because very few African-Americans and Hispanics grew up playing golf at Country Clubs
- Because until recently, there hasn’t been enough financial education programs. There was no career track. It was hard to get into to start with, and harder if you don’t know anybody.
- Because cultural and racial barriers are exacerbated by the profession’s arduous career path and unforgiving emphasis on production numbers…some say.
Expectations
Many multicultural candidates leave the industry prematurely because they aren’t clear about what is expected of them. Our services will change all that. The Financial Services industry offers incredible opportunities; we want to be sure that all multicultural Financial Services Professionals have successful entry into Financial Services. Equally important is that multicultural and minority Financial Services Professionals have the tools they need to grow a profitable Financial Services practice.
Our goal is to help empower the disadvantaged and underserved populations of the United States. First we enable disadvantaged youth and adults to become Financial Services Professionals. Secondly, we help these Financial Services Professionals empower their clients to grow, manage and protect their wealth. To be perfectly clear, we are dedicated in serving all Financial Services Professionals.

Public Charity Status allows us to do so. Auburn Mountain remains a neutral Financial education support service by not offering, selling or advising investments, insurance or financial planning. We support the Financial Services Professionals who do.
Our Passion and Dedication
We are dedicated to Americans who entrusts Financial Services Professionals to build wealth, manage wealth, distribute wealth with minimum income tax consequences, minimize income and estate taxes and facilitate the flow of legacy assets to their heirs.
We are also dedicated in serving the Financial Services Professionals who assist and counsel clients as they build, manage and protect wealth. There are approximately one million, five hundred thousand Financial Services Professionals in the USA who do this job each day with passion and conviction.
